ACERT 2005 Workshop

High Field High Frequency ESR/EPR

As the third in its ongoing series of instructive sessions on modern ESR, ACERT held a workshop on “High Field High Frequency ESR/EPR” early November of 2005. The workshop included lectures and demo sessions of the latest ESR developments and instrumentation at high fields/high frequencies. The main lectures included "High Frequency ESR at ACERT” by J.H. Freed, "Spin-Labeling CW EPR at High Magnetic Fields: From Lipid Nanotubes to Site-Directed pKa Determination" by A. Smirnov, "High Performance mm-wave ESR instrumentation at St. Andrews" by G. Smith, "How High a Frequency is too high for Useful EPR of Nitroxide Spin Labels" by D. Budil, “Pulsed HFEPR Applications to Biological Systems” by T. Prisner, "EMR at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory" by J. Krzystek, and two round table disscusions "Future Directions for Multifrequency and cw HFHF ESR" and "Future Needs for High Field Instrumentation".
